What it is
PEG-12 Dimethicone is a silicone modified to be water-dispersible. That solubility is the point: it delivers the smoothing, detangling slip silicones are loved for, but rinses more cleanly and is far less prone to the build-up and weigh-down that older, non-soluble silicones are criticised for.

It coats the hair with a light, slippery film that improves detangling, softness and shine, while remaining easy to wash out.
