A 'smart' conditioning silicone that deposits where hair is most damaged, and largely leaves healthy hair alone.
What it is
Amodimethicone is a modified silicone carrying a slight positive charge. That charge is the clever part: damaged hair becomes negatively charged, so a cationic conditioner is electrostatically drawn to the damaged sites specifically, rather than coating everything evenly.
How it works
Targets damage by charge
It concentrates on the negatively-charged damaged regions, worn ends and lifted cuticle, where conditioning is actually needed, while depositing less on healthy roots.
Smooths without heavy build-up
Because deposition is selective and it is more breathable than older silicones, it smooths and adds shine with less of the weigh-down and build-up silicones are criticised for.
